The other day a co-worker and I were driving to a school to meet with a youth. The drive takes about 45 minutes of back country filled with beautiful scenery hand painted by the big man in the sky. I am talking gorgeous scenery. Especially right now with the leaves turning colors yet still on the trees. The beautiful colors of Fall are here. Autumn is upon us.

Anyways, we were driving on a country road when I saw this beautiful bridge up ahead in the distance to the right of us. It looked old and rustic with water from a river running underneath it and the autumn colored fields perfectly placed right alongside it. I wanted to take a picture in that moment. It was absolutely beautiful.

As we got closer and closer to the bridge, my co-worker and I were looking to see where this bridge went to. When we got to the actual intersection where the bridge was directly to our right and we no longer saw the front of it, we both said, “Oh, it’s just a normal bridge.”

Isn’t this just like life? People are beautiful and amazing and hand painted by the big man in the sky, yet, we always seem to find fault with those closest to us. But, from a different angle, we find true endless beauty.

My point is, from the front, this bridge was beautiful…..and you know what?! It still is! We just didn’t think so much when we looked at it directly from the side. How narrow minded of us.

People have bad sides and people also have beautiful sides. What side are you looking at? Go deeper than just one side or even one angle.

Love & Blessings,
